Deploying the AI Backend on AWS
In this section, you will package and deploy the AI Backend source code (including Node.js and the Python facial analysis models) to the cloud environment. Utilizing a Container architecture combined with serverless services allows the system to securely isolate the runtime environment and manage compute resources flexibly.

Why is this content important?
- Environment Consistency: Packaging with Docker ensures that the source code containing complex dependencies (such as TensorFlow, OpenCV) runs as stably on the AWS Cloud environment as it does on a local machine.
- Automatic Scalability: Operating on Amazon ECS Fargate allows the AI subsystem to automatically provision and scale resources (RAM/CPU) independently when there is a high volume of image analysis traffic, preventing overloads or system crashes.
- API Security and Latency Reduction: Using CloudFront as a proxy for ECS hides the actual server IP address, routes traffic through AWS’s internal fiber network, and prepares the system for WAF firewall integration.
